Introducing 599 Nocturnal Blue, a single-gel solution for realistic day-for-night film and photo shoots.
Our innovative window gel was created to simulate a realistic nighttime look in broad daylight by reducing brightness by 8 stops and adding a cool blue tint.
By eliminating the need to layer multiple filters, 599 Nocturnal Blue saves time and material costs on set while also reducing waste.
Adds Depth to Your Shot:
- You can now shoot inside for a day-for-night look while still seeing outside, including movement.
- Streamlined Efficiency: Saves time, reduces waste, and lowers production costs.
- Single-Filter Solution: Replaces complex, layered setups, simplifying your lighting kit.
A guide for attaching filter to glass / window
For a quick temporary fix we have clear double sided tape
Wet fitting method
This lighting filter can be applied directly to glass or smooth window surfaces using a simple wet fitting method. The process allows accurate positioning and a smooth, bubble free finish. Suitable for theatre, studio, display, and architectural lighting applications.
- Cut the filter to the required size.
- Clean the glass or window thoroughly.
- Mix clean water with a very small amount of washing up liquid in a spray bottle.
- Spray the glass evenly with the solution.
- Lightly coat one side of the filter with the solution.
- While both surfaces are wet, position the filter onto the glass.
- Use a rubber window squeegee to remove excess liquid and any air bubbles, working from the centre outwards. It may help to spray the outer surface to help with this process.
- Wipe surface with a clean lint free cloth to remove excess water
